January was a busy month for Mr. Spy’s
3rd Grade girls. After coming
back from a much-deserved Winter Break, we received a message from Lauren
teaching us about perseverance. Lauren challenged
us to research someone in history who embodied the term of perseverance. The girls accepted the challenge and worked
diligently to investigate the lives of many women of color who have overcome
tremendous obstacles in their lives. The
girls wrote research papers as a culminating activity to show what they had
learned. Thank you, Lauren, for tasking
the girls to examine the lives of these inspirational women that showed them
all they can achieve when they face adversity.
